Manager: Taproom / Oso Bars

Expected start date: February 2024
Role: Manager, Full-time, Permanent
On target earnings: circa €32,000 gross
Based in Alcobendas / Madrid
We’re looking for an exceptional Manager for our Taproom – you will be the driving force behind the success of our new Taproom as well as of the wider Oso operation. This is a rare opportunity to lead the bar team at one of Madrid’s leading breweries, and to join a fun, vibrant team with big opportunities for growth and advancement.
Oso prides itself on offering a top-quality experience in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere with Grade A food and drinks. Your responsibilities will focus on managing daily operations and creating an extraordinary environment for our customers. You must have a passion for craft beer, hospitality, customer service and top-quality products alongside great leadership skills and top-notch service instincts.
Your normal working pattern will require you to work Saturdays, Sundays, evenings and holidays.
You will need:
  • Passion for craft beer, hospitality, customer service & other top-quality food and drink products
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role within the hospitality or beverage industry
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive work environment and resolving conflicts as they arise.
  • Hard-working attitude and a willingness to take on significant responsibility.
  • Problem-solving mindset and adaptability to handle unexpected situations.
  • A commitment to exceptional customer service and a friendly demeanour.
Day to day you will:
  • Create and run a brilliant, fun bar that customers love.
  • Curate and manage our selection of top-quality food, beer and wider drinks options
  • Manage day-to-day shift operations of the taproom, including opening and closing procedures, staff scheduling, and inventory management.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to taproom staff, fostering a positive and cohesive team environment.
  • Ensure excellent customer service by engaging with customers, addressing inquiries, and resolving any issues promptly and professionally.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement, cost control, and enhanced customer experiences.
  • Oversee the cleanliness and organisation of the taproom, including bar area, seating, and toilets, to create an inviting atmosphere.

We’re looking for an exceptional aspiring Trainee Manager for our Taproom – you will be extremely ambitious and want to play a key role in the success of our new Taproom and existing bar La Osita. This is a rare opportunity to join the team at one of Madrid’s leading breweries, and to join a fun, vibrant team with big opportunities for growth and advancement.

Your responsibilities will focus on helping to manage daily operations at the Taproom and La Osita, creating an extraordinary environment for our customers.
